9/11 victims remembered in Afghanistan

KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - As the mournful sound of "Taps" fades to silence, Staff Sgt. Carmen E. Ayala-Cruz, the Joint Sustainment Command-Afghanistan human resources operations noncommissioned officer in charge, salutes in memory of those killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center.

Servicemembers of JSC-A and 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command along with 30th Naval Construction Regiment Sailors honored the fallen during a Sept. 11, ceremony.
