Department of the Army announces upcoming 1st Stryker Brigade, 4th Infantry Division deployment

WASHINGTON -- The Department of the Army announced today the spring 2018 deployment of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, to Afghanistan.

The 1st Stryker Brigade will replace 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division as part of a regular rotation of forces to support Operation Freedom's Sentinel.

"The 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division is trained and ready for any mission in the Army. Our formation of soldiers are fit, inspired, disciplined, and trained. We couldn't do this without our families and owe special thanks for their willingness to stand by our most precious resource - The American Soldier," said Col. Monté L. Rone, commander of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team.
