Leaders from 3/2's Fire Support Team led a discussion with Lithuanian Land Force officers on the differences and commonalities in how they conduct fire support planning and full integration into maneuver planning.

"This bridges the gap between us, we can pick up the things that they do and they pick up the things that we do," said Cpt. Terry Dale Woolery, Jr., Fires Support Officer, 3rd Sqdn., 2nd Cav. Regt.

The multi-day training prepares the allies for a joint tactical operations center exercise where the Lithuanian Land Force brigade and battalion command elements, along with 3rd Sqdn., 2nd Cav. Regt. command elements, come together and plan maneuver and fires tactics. The training allows 3rd Sqdn., 2nd Cav. Soldiers to operate similar to their Lithuanian allies' with decentralized firing batteries at the brigade level.

"Any operation we do will be a joint multinational operation, so if we know how each other works before hand, when we go into the planning session we should be able to just show up and plan and understand what each country is doing," said Woolery.
