Army announces upcoming 2nd ABCT, 1st Infantry Division, unit rotation

WASHINGTON — The Department of the Army announced today the upcoming fall rotational deployment of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, to Europe.

The 2nd ABCT, stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, will replace the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, as part of a regular rotation of forces to support the United States’ commitment to Atlantic Resolve.

“I’m incredibly proud of the Dagger Brigade, and our Soldiers are excited to train and build interoperability with our NATO allies and partners,” said Col. Bryan M. Harris, commander of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. “The 1st Infantry Division has a tremendous history in Europe, and the Dagger Brigade is ready to continue that legacy.”
