LAGHMAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan - The following is a statement from the Train Advise Assist Command - East command team:

The entire team in Train, Advise, Assist Command - East would like to wish our partners in the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces and all Afghans a blessed Ramazan as they carry on their fast in accordance with the Qu'ran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him.

Ramazan is a sacred time of spiritual renewal, and the fast is a reminder of those who are less fortunate and lack basic necessities. We commend the Afghan people for their dedication and sacrifice during the spiritual journey of Ramazan. And we also praise the ANDSF for their continued sacrifice and steadfast resolve to make Afghanistan a better place for all Afghans.

Here in TAAC-E we will continue to support our partners in the ANDSF and the Afghan people in their quest for peace and prosperity. May the Afghan people stand united with their ANDSF to persevere against all adversaries - militants and criminals - who sully the name of Islam and attempt to deny Afghans their right to a safe and prosperous future.

Ramazan Mubarak!
