The U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) Headquarters Company change of command between Captain Kristin M. Doneth and Captain Jason E. Whitus took place during a ceremony held June 13 at the Detroit Arsenal. TACOM LCMC Commander Maj. Gen. Kurt J. Stein officiated at the ceremony and thanked Doneth for her two years of dedicated service to the TACOM LCMC community. He also expressed confidence in Whitus' ability to fulfill the duties of his new position.

Doneth, a native of Centerline, Michigan, has served here at TACOM for the last two years and will be moving on to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. She will be a Battalion S1 in the 2-14 CAV which is part of the 25th Infantry Division.

"It has been a unique experience working here," Doneth said. "It has allowed me to see a whole different side of the Army." She said that what she has learned here during the last two years will enable her to be more effective in working with the soldiers that she will be responsible for in her new assignment.

Whitus hails from Harriman, Tennessee. He enlisted in the Army as a tank crewman in December 1993. His first assignments included stints as a driver and loader in C Company, 2-72 Armor in the Republic of Korea. Following his return to the United States, he held several enlisted positions until 2005, when he was selected for Officer Candidate School.

In September 2005, Whitus was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant of Armor. He served as an operations officer in 1-34 Armor, beginning in May 2006, and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and assumed duties as the Scout Platoon Leader during the deployment. Most recently, he served as the Battalion Adjutant/ S-1 OIC in 1-18 IN Regiment which included a deployment in support of Operation New Dawn.
