As we approach the Labor Day holiday marking the end of the summer season this is a reminder that the Armed Forces Disciplinary Control Board has placed the Potomac River/ Great Falls Off Limits to all military personnel.

The area along the Potomac River that extends from Sycamore Island to Chain Bridge is off limits due to the strong undertow currents in this area. The off limits restrictions by the Armed Forces Disciplinary Control Board coincide with the restrictions outlined by the state of Maryland.
