Army Reserve Sustainment Command to hold change of command ceremony

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Army Reserve Sustainment Command will hold a change of command ceremony Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. at the Wynfrey Hotel, 1000 Riverchase Galleria.

Brig. Gen. David G. Clarkson will assume command of the ARSC from Col. Judy D. Dougherty. The presiding officer will be Maj. Gen. Luis R. Visot, commander, 377th Theater Sustainment Command.

ARSC is the Army Reserve's newest contribution to the logistics support of the Army. It consists of approximately 400 senior logistics professionals stationed in 28 detachments nationwide, supporting critical logistics commands and logistics support activities. The ARSC is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., and will become an operational command Oct. 1.
