173rd Airborne Brigade demonstrates its capabilities as a diverse fighting force

Finnmark, Norway -- Paratroopers of Bravo Troop, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade are participating in Exercise Joint Viking 17, north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. During the exercise they are testing their effectiveness and lethality as a reconnaissance force in harsh winter conditions.

In this video, Brig. Gen. Timothy Daugherty, United States Army Europe Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3 (Operations) discusses the unique capabilities of the 173rd Airborne Brigade while visiting the unit in northern Norway during Exercise Joint Viking 17.

The experience gained by the Paratroopers throughout Joint Viking 17 will serve to further enhance their ability to fight effectively in any environment.
