HENRICO COUNTY -- Fort Lee military members again found themselves in the national spotlight when they performed as a joint color guard Saturday just moments before the checkered flag dropped at the Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR race at Richmond International Raceway.

Representing all branches of the service, the JCG consisted of Army Staff Sgt. Mark Wirtz, Army Sgt. 1st Class Barry Brown, Army Sgt. 1st Class David Marcelli, Marine Sgt. Jermain Dickerson, Navy Culinary Specialist 1st Class John Cherry, Air Force Staff Sgt. Latasha Rice, Coast Guard Food Service Chief Keith Brown, Marine Lance Cpl. Chase Trevino and Master Sgt. Michael Isaza as the noncommissioned officer in charge. Millions of TV viewers typically tune in to the annual race that has been supported by Fort Lee for several years.
