More than 60 Soldiers from the 524th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, were honored April 30, 2019 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii during a redeployment ceremony celebrating the successful completion of a 9-month combat tour in support of Operations Spartan Shield, Inherent Resolve, and Freedoms Sentinel.
These Soldiers conducted area sustainment and strategic distribution in support of the 38th Sustainment Brigade, 300th Sustainment Brigade, and the 1st Theater Sustainment Command.
The Soldiers provided multi-class supply, retrograde operations, liquid logistics, aerial delivery, and general sustainment support throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
"The 25th Sustainment Brigade, 25th Infantry Division remains the most deployed Brigade on island," said Brigade Commander Col. Dennis Levesque. "It's an indication of how valuable you are. The maneuver units are the body of this Division but the CSSB is the heart. It pumps the lifeblood through the body of warriors to sustain them."
Special thanks to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, USO Schofield Barracks; and Army Music Hawaii for their support and attendance of the event.
