Reeder to take command of Special Warfare Center and School

FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- Maj. Gen. Edward M. Reeder will assume command of the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School during a change of command ceremony at 9 a.m. Aug. 16 on Fort Bragg's John F. Kennedy plaza.
Reeder will take over for Maj. Gen. Bennet S. Sacolick, whose next assignment will be as director of force management and development for the U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
The ceremony will be hosted by Lt. Gen. Charles T. Cleveland, commanding general of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Cleveland, Reeder and Sacolick are scheduled to deliver remarks during the ceremony.
Sacolick took command of SWCS Aug. 18, 2010. Reeder previously commanded the U.S. Army Special Forces Command (Airborne), also headquartered at Fort Bragg.

The ceremony will be held on Fort Bragg's John F. Kennedy Plaza, and all media representatives must meet a PAO escort at Stryker Golf Course by 8 a.m.
