The Acting Auditor General Beth Casciaro hosted The Auditor General (TAG) Award Ceremony at the Ft. Belvoir Community Center on 17 May 2023.

The TAG Award Ceremony was introduced in the 1980s to recognize employees whose outstanding accomplishments help maximize our ability to deliver on our mission and significantly contribute to making the Agency a high-performing organization.

The 49 awardees for 2023 were nominated by another employee, evaluated by senior executives, and selected by The Acting Auditor General in one general category and five special categories. Awards in the general category were based on the following factors: leadership, commitment, innovation, collaboration, communication, and resilience. The five special award categories were Outstanding Leadership, Outstanding Mission Support Achievements, Outstanding Achievements by a Team, Rising Star of the Year, and Auditor of the Year.

Awardees received the TAG Award trophy and either the Civilian Service Achievement Medal, the Civilian Service Commendation Medal, or the Meritorious Civilian Service Medal
