NFL Great Herschel Walker Fort Hood WTB Fan Favorite
Former Heisman Trophy winner and Dallas Cowboy great Herschel Walker speaks to Fort Hood's Warrior Transition Brigade nurse case managers July 16. Following Walker's presentation, he told the group of 50 medical professionals how he copes with his personality disorder, as well as answered questions on numerous topics, including his personal life. Walker also talked about character issues and how important it is to be a mentor and a role model to others. Walker, who lives in Dallas, has previousy visited Fort Hood and has plans to continue his visits. Besides discussing mental health issues with WTB's nurse case managers, Walker did Army Physcial Fitness Training with 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. He also toured the Resiliency Campus and had lunch with several groups of Soldiers during his two-day visit. (WTB/Gloria Montgomery).
