FORT HOOD, Texas -- Entertainers with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) signed autographs in the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division's conference room for Soldiers on Fort Hood, Texas, Dec.11.

Soldiers and their families had the opportunity to see a free show and get some of the wrestler's autographs. It was a good way to have fun and spend time bonding together before deployment and is something families might not otherwise do.

"WWE is just one of the shows my family likes to watch together. So bringing them out to get the autographs and see the show live later is a great way for us to bond, and is something I would never be able to afford," said Sgt Monica Hickmott, a Soldier from F Forward Support Co., 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment.

The event was good for single Soldiers' morale and gave them something to do with friends out of the barracks at no cost.

"I think that this is a morale booster for the troops and good fun entertainment. It also gives me something to do over the weekend where I don't spend a lot of money," said Spc. Mathew Joseph, with Headquarters and Headquarters Troop.

Events like this are good for Soldiers with families to give them more things to bond over before the deployment as well as for single Soldiers to relax and enjoy some down time doing something they don't get to do every day.

"It's good for family time and just to have fun. It's also good to know we're supported for the deployment," said Sgt. 1st Class Antoine Stewart D Co., with 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment.
