REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - A long chapter closed for one U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command employee when she retired Sept. 28 at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters.

Deborah Gilbert, an information management specialist in the command's G-6 office, retired after 34 years of service.

During the ceremony, Col. Bennie Pokemire, deputy chief of staff G-6, presented Gilbert with the Superior Civilian Service Award, a certificate of appreciation and a 3-star note.
