WIESBADEN, Germany - Wiesbaden community members got an inside look at the wide range of resources, services and opportunities available in and around the garrison Aug. 26 at the Community Activity Center.

The Community Fair, hosted by the Wiesbaden Community Spouses Club, offered newcomers and those who have been here for a while a chance to learn about everything from events in the city of Wiesbaden, courtesy of the city's Marketing Office, to upcoming WCSC programs.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about this great community," said Col. Jeffrey W. Dill, U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden commander, thanking the many agency representatives, "the backbone services of the community," who turned out to support the fair.

"The Wiesbaden Community Spouses Club is open to everyone. People can come as guests to the luncheons before deciding whether to join. Then they are voted into the club by the members," said Alvarado.

"The activities are really fun. Club membership offers a chance to get involved in great community service and the chance to meet new people," she added. "Last year we gave away more than $40,000 in welfare grants."
