Team CECOM,

Our command has initiated efforts to backfill the ILSC Director position, but as we all know, the process to fill a Senior Executive Service position can be lengthy and, unfortunately, we were hindered by a hiring stop gap that occurred late last year. Our command has been extremely grateful for our previous serving Acting ILSC Directors throughout this period to include: Nicole Dilorio and Medhat Abuhantash. Thank you both so much for your steadfast leadership during this time. We will continue to have individuals serve as Acting Director for up to 120 days.

With that being said, it is my pleasure to announce Mr. Hector Rodriguez will be the first of our next group to serve as Acting ILSC Director from 4 JUNE 2023 – 30 SEPTEMBER 2023. Our other selectee’s rotation timelines are still being finalized and will be announced later.

On behalf of our command, I want to express how appreciative we are for him being willing to step up while our ILSC workforce continues to provide world-class logistics support for vital C5ISR systems and equipment through rapid acquisition, maintenance, production, and sustainment. Congratulations Hector, I know that you will do a tremendous job during this time period.

Every June, the Army recognizes LGBTQ service members and Civilians for their service to the Army and our nation during Pride Month. Throughout history, LGBTQ Soldiers and Civilians have bravely served and defended our country. The selfless and dedicated service of LGBTQ Army Soldiers and Civilians make our military stronger and the nation safer. I am confident that the talent, skills and abilities in our diverse force will help our Army meet future challenges and win on the battlefield, like it always has done.

For our APG teammates, the U.S. Army Defense Center for Public Health-Aberdeen is hosting the 2023 APG Pride Month Observance, Tuesday, 13 JUNE from 1000 to 1130 at APG’s Myer Auditorium. The event will be live broadcast through MS Teams, so no matter where you are located I encourage you to please use the following link to attend this important event where we can all learn how work better together as a team and promote an inclusive culture that ensures respect and equal opportunity for all members of our Army. https://dod.teams.microsoft.us/l/meetup-join/19%3adod%3ameeting_7d6d5fa537e245ba9d3162840c5129bc%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%22fae6d70f-954b-4811-92b6-0530d6f84c43%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%225367987d-e4d5-4dc5-b5b6-6b7ef39f5fbc%22%2c%22IsBroadcastMeeting%22%3atrue%7d

Thank you all for your continued support, dedication and commitment to CECOM and our Nation’s Warfighters.

Be all you can be!

Sincerely,

MG Rob Edmonson II
