JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD. Wash. – Over 100 Special Olympics powerlifters showcased their strength during the 2022 State Spring Games June 18 at Carey Theater on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Over 1,800 Special Olympians competed in the 2022 State Spring Games held at three locations June 18-19:
· Pacific Lutheran University – soccer and athletics completion;
· King County Aquatics Center – swimming;
· JBLM – powerlifting.
Soldiers from JBLM’s 1st Special Forces Group volunteered to help in the powerlifting competition. JBLM was scheduled to host cycling events, but the events were rescheduled for August.
