HONOLULU, Hawaii (Dec. 12, 2018) -- Brig. Gen. Thomas Tickner, Pacific Ocean Division commanding general, conducted an office call with Brig. Gen. Todd Lazaroski, 412th Theater Engineer Command (TEC) deputy commanding general-support at the POD headquarters, where the leaders discussed potential opportunities for collaboration between the two organizations.

Just prior to the office call, Tickner presented Lazaroski, who took command of the 412th TEC on April 1, 2018, with the commander's coin, symbolizing the start of what the leaders hope will yield future engagements within the Indo-Pacific area of operation, with the goal of enabling U.S. alliance and partnerships.

The 412th TEC's mission, with headquarters in Vicksburg, Mississippi, is to conduct theater-level engineer operations globally and is comprised of over 12,000 Soldiers.

POD's mission, with Indo-Asia-Pacific partners, is to integrate capabilities to deliver solutions that enable access, posture and protection; water resource management and environmental stewardship; disaster preparedness and response in order to promote security, deter aggression and to develop and protect the nation.
