The Fort Leonard Wood Rec Plex opened for its 2018 season Friday, and will remain open five days a week now through Memorial Day.

Located at 5561 Constitution Ave. in Bldg. 604, the facility is designed to be a center for outdoor fun, and includes an 18-hole miniature golf course, go-kart track, the Wallace Outdoor Pool and splash park.

"Right now, we just have the mini golf and go-karts open," explained Billy Ray, Rec Plex assistant manager. "The pool will open later in May. We try to (open the pool) right around (high-school) graduation time each year."

Currently the Rec Plex is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays and holidays. Although the facility is currently closed Mondays and Tuesdays, hours will expand when the Rec Plex begins its summer season, which lasts from Memorial Day through the Labor Day holiday each year.

Go-kart rates are $9 per driver per ride. Customers can purchase a three-ride package for $25, or opt for a 15-ride punch card for $90. Customers must be at least 56 inches tall in order to ride the go-karts.

Mini golf daily rates are $9 per game for adults, $5 for children ages 4 to 15 and free for children ages 3 and younger.

The Rec Plex also offers combo packs that include one go-kart ride and a game of mini golf for $15 for adults, $12 for children ages 4 to 15 and $5 for children 3 and younger.

Party packages and other amenities are also available.
