Lieutenant General Bingham new U.S. Army assistant chief of staff for installation management

WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 6, 2016) --The Senate confirmed Maj. Gen. Gwen Bingham on June 29 for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general where she will serve as the 14th U.S. Army assistant chief of staff for installation management (ACSIM).

"I count it a tremendous honor and privilege to continually serve in the finest Army the world will ever know and to lead such an outstanding team of professionals," Lt. Gen. Bingham said in an email to Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management employees. "As a previous 'customer' of ACSIM, I have always been impressed by the impeccably high standards that each member of this team demonstrates daily while executing your duties."

As the ACSIM, Bingham will serve as principal adviser to the chief of staff of the Army for installation management, facilities investments, morale, welfare, recreation and family support programs.

Bingham most recently served as commanding general for the U. S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Life Cycle Management Command, Warren, Michigan.
