Volunteers prepare Thanksgiving meal for single Soldiers

FORT MCPHERSON, Ga. -- Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Holliday (serving on the right), command sergeant major, Special Troop Battalion, U.S. Army Central, reaches for the tongs to serve Sgt. Timothy Braswell (left), a rifleman for the color guard and funeral honors detail assigned to the U.S. Army Forces Command, Nov. 20 during a dinner at the Fort McPherson barracks. Holliday was one of many volunteers dedicating their time to serving Soldiers, their Families and friends a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal. The Office of the Garrison Chaplains sponsored the Barracks and Single Soldiers dinner. Most of the food was donated by parishioners of the post chapels, while the turkey and ham were purchased with chaplain funds.
