By U.S. Army Public AffairsNovember 30, 2022

The U.S. Army’s upcoming launch of the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army – the Army’s top human-resources modernization effort –is currently in the middle of its brownout window. Human Resource professionals are actively working and preparing for the legacy system cutover to IPPS-A Release 3, which is expected to be available to the HR personnel beginning December 20. Soldier access from across all three components is expected to be available early next year.

As data transitions to IPPS-A from legacy systems, Soldier promotions will be delayed for a brief period from November through January. However, Soldiers selected for promotion during this time will retain their original promotion dates and receive additional pay as back-pay.
