HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Brig. Gen. Ted Harrison, commanding general, Army Contracting Command, will serve as an Industrial Partnering panel member during the Association of the U.S. Army's Winter Symposium and Exposition at the Von Braun Center here Feb. 19-21.

The Industrial Partnering Panel will be held Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. Harrison will also take part in the "Introduction to Doing Business with the Army" focus forum, 2 p.m., Feb. 19, hosted by Michael R. Hutchison, deputy to the ACC commanding general.

ACC will represent the Army Materiel Command at the Army display in the exhibit hall. Army Materiel Command has encouraged local government and military personnel to attend the symposium in their official capacity, with supervisor approval. All local attendance must be at no cost to the government and there is no reimbursement for travel expenses.

AMC is currently coordinating a shuttle bus with stops at several command locations to transport employees free of charge to the VBC. The Sparkman Center, housing ACC-Redstone employees, and ACC's headquarters at 106 Wynn Drive are both on that list.

"As a well-respected professional development forum, AUSA winter symposium will continue to provide an all-important platform for participants to learn about and see not only what the Army needs, but also what industry is developing in the latest and best technologies to arm, equip, sustain and protect our Soldiers for the future," said retired Army Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, AUSA president.

The Army also capitalizes on this event to participate in multiple professional development forums to include: land warfare, small business and foreign military sales, Army-industry exchange and technical talk presentations.

Additional information is available at: http://ausameetings.org/winter/. Although attendance is free, registration is required to attend. The registration deadline is Feb 7.
