U.S. Army Garrison Fort A.P. Hill firefighters honed their skills today during aircraft fire training on post. The mock aircraft is fitted with propane-fired burners which simulate a fire of different sizes. When they roll onto the scene firefighters first hit the blaze with the water cannons atop their truck. Then, they dismount and use a steady stream of water from a fire hose to quell the flames. As fire dies, the firefighters apply a water fog to finish the job.
