CAMP ZAMA, Japan (April 23, 2013) -- Gen. Dennis L. Via, commanding general of U.S. Army Materiel Command, visited Japan April 19 through 21. On April 20, Via traveled to Yokohama North Dock, where he was provided an overbrief on the Army Field Support Battalion - Northeast Asia and toured one of the several Landing Craft Utility boats docked at the installation. Via then traveled to Sagami General Depot for an overview brief on the installation, a discussion with U.S. Army Japan leadership, and a windshield tour of the installation.
