FORT BENNING, Ga., (March 16 2016) -- Brig. Gen. Eric J. Wesley will assume command of the Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning from Maj. Gen. Scott Miller during a ceremony at 10 a.m., March 18 in the Marshall Auditorium.
A 1986 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, Wesley is also a graduate of Troy University where he earned a Master of Science degree in International Relations. His military schooling includes U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and National War College, where he earned a Master of Science degree in National Security and Strategic Studies.
Wesley's most recent assignment was at Department of Army Headquarters in Washington, D.C. as the Deputy Director, Program Analysis and Evaluation, G-8.
His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with two oak leave clusters, Bronze Star with "V" device, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Ranger Tab, Presidential Service Identification Badge and Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge.
Miller is awaiting notification of his next assignment.
