The K-16 Spring Festival (K-16 Veterans of Foreign Wars Millitary Appreciation Day) was celebrated May 15 2015. Numerous events were held - Martial Arts demonstration, Taekwondo demonstration, Korean Traditional Percussives performance, Mud fish catching game, and sports tournaments. The sports tournaments included Frisbee tournaments, mini-soccer tournaments and baseball throwing competitions. More than 100 U.S. soldiers, Republic Of Korea Army soldiers who serve nearby the K-16 Airbase, and servicemembers celebrated the event. Barbeque was served to all personnel for lunch, and other treats were available for all to enjoy. The annual appreciation was a big success, recognizing the service of the members of K-16 and ROKA soldiers, allowing them a joyful day. (U.S. Army photos by Cpl. Yi Jung Uk)
