The U.S. Secret Service presented Certificates of Appreciation to Soldiers and staff from the 289th MP Company, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Civilian Police Officers and Military District of Washington Provost Marshal-Protectorate Directorate for their outstanding service and support during numerous events in the National Capital Region. These events include Presidential Wreath Laying ceremonies, Foreign Head of State visits to Arlington National Cemetery and security missions such as the State of the Union address.

The awards were presented by U.S. Secret Service Deputy Assistant Director for Government and Public Affairs, Ed Donovan and Special Agent in Charge of the Washington Field Office, Kathy A. Michalko, during a ceremony held at Fort Lesley J. McNair, March 10, 2014.

The awardees are:

Sgt. 1st Class Aaron Busby from the MDW Provost Marshal/ Protection Directorate.

Spc. Benjamin L. Foss, Sgt. Aaron B. Smith, Staff Sgt. Robyn T. Timmer, Staff Sgt. Chad A. Joyner, Sgt. 1st Class Francis B. Estes, Sgt. 1st Class John W. Russell, Sgt. 1st Class Daryl B. Williams, Sgt. 1st Class Angel M. Vazquez of the 289th Military Police, 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard).

Lt. Stacy Wilson, Lt. Tracy Gooden, Lt. Khalid Mustafaa, Lt. Laura Moore, Capt. Jennifer Ruggles, Sgt. Stephen Brant, Master Sgt. Jason Hazzard from the Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall Directorate of Emergency Services. Lt. Ronald Foster, Capt. Tracie Miller, Sgt. Michael Curtis also recognized but were not at the ceremony.
