MISSION

The Deputy Chief of Staff for the Army, G-1, develops and implements effective policy and leads programs that build sustained personnel readiness in the Army's greatest asset - people.

  • The G-1 is responsible for the execution of assigned functions and the achievement of missions in support of the Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff of the Army and the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs).
