This office manages The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) in accordance with applicable laws. We provide information to military members, Department of Defense civilians, military family members, the American public, the Congress, and the news media. The information you find here is cleared for public release in accordance with applicable Army policies.

The Freedom of Information and Privacy Act Office is responsible for the management oversight of the implementation of Army G-1 FOIA and PA programs in accordance with 5 USC, and Public Law 106-554.
