VILSECK, Germany -- Fox Sports Girl, Liddy, dons a gasmask along with her Bravo Troop, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, teammates during the Commander's Challenge, here, Feb. 7.

Fox Sports Girls and Major League Baseball stars like Hall of Famer Wade Boggs, Angels fielder Tim Salmon and Phillies catcher Brian Schneider, joined members of the 2CR for the Commander's Challenge for Fox Sports' "Spring Training to the Troops."

Decked out in hats and gloves to stave off the morning cold, the VIP guests split up to join the Alpha, Bravo, Charlie or Headquarters and Headquarters Troop teams on the 3.5-mile run.

The Challenge, which promoted teamwork, physical endurance and quick thinking, contained stations along the route where teams carried 10-foot logs, flipped tires, pushed humvees and assembled weapons.

Bravo Troop, which had the powerful motivating force of Boggs and the athletic prowess of Fox Sports Girl, Liddy, on their side, set the pace for the entire race.

After finishing first, an ecstatic Boggs said of his team, "they set the standard for all teams in the future."

Boggs' enthusiasm at his team's victory was matched by Bravo Troop's gratitude for Fox Sports' support.

"It's always good to see someone on our team that's not in the military to take interest in what we do," said Sgt. 1st Class Jason Alaniz, Bravo Troop, Regimental Support Squadron, 2CR.
