Rock Island Arsenal, Ill. - Army Contracting Command-Rock Island Executive Director Michael Hutchison held a reception at the Arsenal Golf Club House here on July 17 to welcome Maj. Gen. Camille M. Nichols, ACC's first commanding general.
During the reception, attended by approximately 75 people, Nichols briefly discussed her primary goal of making ACC the preeminent Department of Defense contracting entity.
Nichols, alongside ACC Command Sgt. Maj. John Murray, Expeditionary Contracting Command Staff Sgt. Patricia Faris, and Hutchison, unfurled the ACC-RI unit flag during the reception. She also presented Mary Adams, a branch chief in ACC-RI's Ammunition Contracting Division, with her commander's coin for Adams' coordination of the reception.
