Maura C. Reyes is a contract specialist employed with the Army Contracting Command -- Aberdeen Proving Ground, Southwest Division, located at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
Her job entails ensuring all contractual documents are legally sound and sufficient to procure the right commodities and services to satisfy customer requirements. Reyes said the review is important if those commodities and services are to be delivered to the right place at the right time and at the right price.
"My job provides Soldiers with the commodities and services they'll need to continue their particular duty and mission throughout the United States or worldwide," she said.
Reyes achieves the job armed with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in management. She also holds a Level III certification as an acquisition professional through the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act.
When she's not working to support her customers with the Information System Engineering Command, Reyes takes pride in volunteering at the Army Community Services Center. It's a service she enjoys with her husband of 23 years.
For recreation, Reyes enjoys watching movies, attending live concerts and bowling.
