Competing Soldiers listen to instructions from the range cadre for the urban orienteering event of the U.S. Forces Command Soldier and Noncommissioned of the Year Competition here at Joint Base Lewis-McChord July 27.  The four-day competition pits eight Soldiers and eight NCOs against one another in order to determine the best of the best from active-duty, National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers under U.S. Forces Command.
