FORT KNOX, Ky. — The Fort Knox Middle High School’s head football coach on Dec. 3 joined an elite club when he was named the Class 1A, District 2 Coach of the Year.
Wes Arnold said at the beginning of the season that he believed his team had what it took to pull off a winning season. While they didn’t achieve that goal, they certainly improved on previous seasons.
Under Arnold’s leadership, the Eagles took home four wins. His accolade, voted on by the Kentucky Football Coaches Association, was announced during the Class 1A state championship game at the University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field.
