JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. -- Joint Base Lewis-McChord has an estimated daily population of over 110,000 people and between 56,000 to 66,000 vehicles enter the installation on any given day. Combine that with the I-5 expansion project, and that equates to long wait times and backups at JBLM's most utilized gates, unless you enter and exit through one of the base's underutilized gates instead.
Every duty day, JBLM maintains 13 open access control points, with the Dupont and Madigan gates being the most congested. Other entry points such as the underutilized Integrity Gate can get you on base and out of traffic quicker during the rush hour periods.

Integrity Gate: Weekdays 5 a.m. - 7 p.m., closed weekends and holidays
D Street Gate: Weekdays 5 a.m. - 9 p.m., weekends and holidays 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
McChord Field
Main Gate: 24/7
Woodbrook Gate: Weekdays 5 a.m. - 9 p.m., weekends and holidays 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
