SAN ANTONIO, Texas - More than 30 Warrior Care and Transition, Transition Coordinator professionals from the 14 enduring Warrior Transition Units and four Regional Health Command Warrior Transition Offices participated in the 2018 TC Sustainment Training at Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, June 25-29 2018.

WCT Soldier Services Directorate facilitated the first annual TC Sustainment Training which is intended to improve and standardize the TC support, address shortcomings identified by the WTU Organizational Inspection Program and to develop solutions for persistent program challenges. Additionally, the Transition Coordinators exchanged ideas and shared demonstrated best practices to improve career and education readiness support for our assigned and attached wounded, ill and injured Soldiers and Families.

TC professionals stated that they felt better trained, more informed, and more resilient to continue the performance of their duties within the unique WCT environment. The sustainment training keynote speaker was Dr. Rory Cooper, Director, Human Engineering Research Laboratories from the University of Pittsburgh and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Pennsylvania (West).
