CAMP SHELBY, Miss. -- The 177th Armored Brigade conducted a Change of Command ceremony for the Headquarters, Headquarters Company, at Spearhead Field today.

The outgoing commander, U.S. Army Cpt. Billy Luster, departs HHC, 177th Ar. Bde., after 14 months of support to the "Spearhead" Brigade. During his time, Luster oversaw the training and administrative support of the Brigade headquarters and the recent mobilization and validation exercise at Fort Bliss, Texas, for the Mississippi Army National Guard's 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team.

"I want to thank the HHC, 177th Armored Brigade Leaders and Soldiers for all the support," said Luster. "Continue to better yourselves and the leaders around you, and remember that our Soldiers are counting on your experience and knowledge to lead them."

The incoming commander, U.S. Army Cpt. Gina Thibodeaux, has been part of the Brigade family for the past year. She transitions to the HHC commander position after serving as the operations officer for 2nd Battalion, 410th Brigade Support Battalion, 177th Ar. Bde.

"I'm extremely thankful for the opportunity to command HHC, and I appreciate Lt. Col. Rollinson and Col. Vantress for believing in me," said Thibodeaux. "I'm excited for this leadership opportunity and look forward to being a part of this team."
