Army announces upcoming 1st ABCT, 1st Armored Division, unit rotation

WASHINGTON -- The Department of the Army announced today the upcoming spring rotational deployment of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, to Korea.

The 1st ABCT, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, will replace the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, as part of a regular rotation of forces to support the United States’ commitment to the Republic of Korea.

“The ‘Ready First Team’ looks forward to teaming with, and learning from, our allies from the Republic of Korea,” said Col. Stephen A. Fairless, commander of the 1st BCT. “Our brigade is prepared to assume the mission from our fellow 1st Armored Division teammates and will continue the Bulldog Brigade's reputation for teamwork, readiness and lethality.”
