Command Sergeant Major Donald R. Robertson assumed responsibilities with U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan on 23 May 2018. He serves as the Commander's personal advisor on all enlisted and civilian related matters, particularly in the areas affecting training and quality of life for the Garrison Community.

Command Sergeant Major Donald Robertson was born in Monroe, Georgia and graduated from Monroe Area Comprehensive High School. He entered the United States Army in 1994 completing One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, GA.

His leadership positions include: Team Leader, Squad Leader, Bradley Fighting Vehicle Section Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Senior AC/RC Observer Controller/Trainer, Senior Instructor (BLC), First Sergeant, Operations Sergeant Major, and Command Sergeant Major.

His assignments include: 1/9 Cavalry in Fort Hood, TX; 2/9 Infantry in Camp Casey, Korea; 2/7 Infantry in Fort Stewart, GA; 1/38 Infantry Fort Benning, GA; NCOA Camp Jackson, Korea; 1/357 Infantry in Fort Lewis, WA; Provincial Reconstruction Team Qalat TF82 First Sergeant in Zabul Province, Afghanistan; 5/25 IN Fort Lewis, WA; HHC, I Corps in Fort Lewis, WA; 1-9 Calvary Operations Sergeant Major, Fort Hood, TX; and 2nd Infantry Division, G3 Operations Sergeant Major in Camp Red Cloud, Korea; 2-58 IN BN Command Sergeant Major, Fort Benning, GA.

His military education includes: Airborne School, Drill Sergeant School (Commandants List), Modern Army Combatives Course Level I and II, Battle Staff Course, Total Army Instructor Training Course, Master Resiliency Course, Basic Leaders Course, Advance Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course (Commandants List), First Sergeants Course, Army Force Management Course, Battalion & Brigade Sergeants Major Pre-Command Course and the Battalion & Brigade Command Sergeants Major Development Course. He is a graduate of Class 64 of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Course (Commandants List).
