ANNISTON ARMY DEPOT, Ala. -- The depot held a Job Fair March 31 under the direct hire authority.

This enabled 1,334 individuals to submit résumés to fill approximately 200 positions in 25 job series across several directorates and one tenant.

The exact number of hires will be determined based on qualifications and workload.

An additional 5,223 résumés were submitted through an online process, enabling ANAD and the Anniston Munitions Center to reach job seekers who could not attend the Job Fair.

Now that résumés have been received, individual managers will review them, conduct interviews where applicable and make tentative selections.

This process will be completed at different intervals for the various positions, based on the number of applicants and positions in each series.

For example, some personnel could report within 30-45 days, while others may report as late as July.

Once résumés have been reviewed, applicants will only be contacted if further evaluation or interviews are required or upon selection.

Therefore, applicants should not contact ANAD or ANMC, as inquiries will not receive a response.

The résumés and any documents submitted will be retained for four months and may be used at any time during this period to fill one or more vacancies in these 25 job series.

The Job Fair required coordination and support from various directorates throughout the installation and allowed ANAD and ANMC to take advantage of the authorization afforded to depots by Congress.
