FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- Approximately 20 Soldiers from 10th Mountain Division (LI) deployED to Texas on Wednesday in support of ongoing relief efforts to assist those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

As a globally responsive force, the sun never sets on the 10th Mountain Division patch. Soldiers from 510th Human Resources Platoon will lend their support by providing reception and administration services to military personnel deploying to Houston to assist in relief efforts.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and communities in Houston and the surrounding area who have been affected by the hurricane and flooding," said Col. Shawn C. Schuldt, 10th Mountain Division Sustainment Brigade commander. "The Soldiers deploying to Texas are some of our best, and (they) are honored to be able to do their part to support the relief efforts."
