Maj. Gen. Bradley A. Becker, commanding general, Military District of Washington, and Command Sgt. Maj. Paul E. Biggs, Military District of Washington, together with their select team of highly motivated individuals, took part in 1st Battalion 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), Squad PT Competition. The objectives for this completion was to not only assess each Squad's physical and mental toughness, but to also build Esprit De Corps. The fastest squad would be awarded the "Best PT Squad" streamer. Each competitor carried a 40lb rucksack throughout the competition, consisting of 8 events spread out over 4 mile course on Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall.
