TOBYHANNA ARMY DEPOT, Pa. -- Electronics Mechanic Keith Tucker performs a sight alignment and functional check of the Common Remotely Operated Weapons System (CROWS).
Tucker is one of several technicians in Tobyhanna Army Depot's Thermal Targeting Section who overhaul, repair and test CROWS, which give the operator the ability to acquire and engage targets while inside an armor-protected vehicle.
Technicians in the section also support the Long Range Advance Scout Surveillance Systems, a long-range multi-sensory system that provides real time ability to detect, recognize, identify, and geo-locate distant targets and improvised explosive devices.
Electronics Mechanic Patricia Decker upgrades integrated optical bench components on the Long Range Advance Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3) during the overhaul process.
