Lt. Gen. Kevin T. Campbell, Commanding General, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command, addresses the audience at the 11th Annual SPACECOMM Defending America Symposium, conducted Jan. 28, at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo. Among the many areas Campbell touched upon, hot topics included the operational environment of space, current and future space systems, and ballistic missile defense. The symposium is hosted annually by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.
