FORT POLK, La. - U.S. Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Mark A. Milley, emphasized with leaders of the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, officers and soldiers serving with the United Kingdom that readiness is the Army's number one priority during his recent visit to the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) on Fort Polk, La.
Milley observed as soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division operated critical war fighting skills during their rotation to the JRTC. "The Army must be ready to shape the global security environment and fight and win the nation's wars," Milley said during the visit.
The team also took time to visit with soldiers serving with the United Kingdom during their joint training exercise on Fort Polk. "Our Army will fight as a joint and coalition force. This rotation includes you, our UK partners, the strengthening of our militaries' relationships and the furthering of our effectiveness to operate as a coalition force," Milley said in closing.
