ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Illinois -- Twenty Soldiers assigned to Army Sustainment Command-Army Reserve Element participated in the annual major exercise, Ulchi Freedom Guardian 15, supporting the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade in Hawaii and the 403rd AFSB in Daegu, Korea, Aug. 10-28.

UFG is an annual, theater-wide exercise in Korea. The 403rd AFSB provides logistical support to the exercise, and for the first time 402nd AFSB also provided logistical support.

The ASC-ARE Soldiers augmented 402nd AFSB and 403rd AFSB staff positions, manning the emergency operations center and contributing to the daily tracking, reporting and briefings in support of the exercise. This is the fifth year the unit has supported the logistics effort for UFG.
