WASHINGTON (April 16, 2014) -- Congratulations to Col. Curtis Williams Jr. who was awarded the Legion of Merit for 28 years of service, which was presented by Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, Joint Force Headquarters -- National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington commanding general, in a ceremony held at Fort Lesley J. McNair.

Williams served in the JFHQ-NCR/MDW for 10 years in positions of increasing responsibility culminating as the Ready and Resilient Campaign director. Williams provided professional coaching and expertise, and commanders with candid Inspector General advice.
